Electric vehicle workplace charging grant now available

Finally, what you’ve all been waiting for, the government have released funding for workplace EV charging.

£300 towards a single socket and £600 towards a double socket charging station, the grant is available to companies throughout the UK, subject to successful application.

Anthony Piggott, Technical Director, Elmtronics said: “This is a great opportunity for both private and public sector companies to add a charging facility for their staff, plug-in fleets and customers.

“The application is available for up to 20 sockets, enabling businesses to claim up to £6000 for their electric vehicle charging infrastructure, you can even receive funding for rapid chargers.”

The voucher-based scheme is designed to provide eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of buying and installing EV chargepoints.

The process is simple, Elmtronics can guide you every step of the way, we can even complete the forms for you. Once approved you will receive a voucher.

A voucher can be redeemed by Elmtronics who have been authorised by OLEV for the workplace charging scheme and are approved with a range chargepoint manufacturers to install a range of chargepoint models which are again approved by OLEV.
